«Cuentos infantiles políticamente correctos» is a collection of satirical tales by James Finn Garner (Circe, paperback, 150 pages, in Spanish).
Garner takes a dozen classic tales, including Little Red Riding Hood and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and rewrites them with political correctness taken to the extreme and constant humour. The new versions eliminate the sexist and discriminatory nuances of the originals, turning each story into a satire of stereotypes and the euphemisms of political correctness.
First instalment of the «Cuentos políticamente correctos» series. The English original, «Politically Correct Bedtime Stories», dates from 1994.
For readers with a sense of humour and some familiarity with classic tales, who will enjoy the satire and parody of political correctness.
