«Cuentos de detectives victorianos» is an anthology of detective stories selected by Ana Useros, published by Alba Editorial in hardback (632 pages).
The anthology brings together twenty-six stories that trace the evolution of the detective tale in the nineteenth century: from the detective who pursues the criminal to the genius who deduces without leaving his armchair, with brutal crimes and refined plots. It includes Dickens, Wilkie Collins and Conan Doyle alongside other lesser-known Victorian writers.
First edition in Spanish, published in January 2014 in the Clásica Maior collection by Alba Editorial; translation by Catalina Martínez Muñoz.
For fans of Victorian literature and the classic detective story, with an interest in its origins and lesser-known authors.
