«Cuando mi hermano se subió a un armario» is a humorous children's book by Victoria Pérez Escrivá, published by Anaya in paperback (104 pages, in Spanish).
The narrator's brother leaps onto a wardrobe and announces he will never come down. His parents mobilise increasingly outlandish characters, such as firefighters, a professional pusher, a man on stilts or a broken woman, to try to get him down. A zany and tender story about family life and small gestures.
Volume 178 of the El Duende Verde collection. With illustrations by Lucía Serrano. Winner of the XXIX Vila d'Ibi Children's Narrative Contest (2010).
Recommended for readers aged 9 and up, with zany humour and everyday situations taken to the extreme.
