«Corpos Celestes» is a children's poetry book by José Jorge Letria, published by Texto Editores in hardback (48 pages, in Portuguese).
The book brings together fun and imaginative poems that invite readers to contemplate the sky and wonder about everything it holds: planets, stars, comets, meteors, meteorites, galaxies and black holes. With a playful approach, it follows children who, when sleep doesn't come, fantasise about travelling through endless space alongside those celestial bodies, embracing with their gaze the immensity of the universe.
Published in 2009, it belongs to the Júnior Ler+ collection and includes illustrations by Sandra Abafa. It is recommended by the Plano Nacional de Leitura for the 5th grade, intended for autonomous reading.
Suitable for children aged 8 and over and for 5th-grade readers who are beginning to read poetry independently.
