«Contos Arrepiantes da História de Portugal - Descobrimentos Desgraçados» is a children's history book by Rui Correia and António F. Nabais in paperback.
It addresses the darker side of Portuguese expansion in the 15th and 16th centuries: how a small country in crisis became a world power and came to divide the world with Castile. With an engaging tone and caricature illustrations, it shows that the history of those discoveries can be as admirable as it is unfortunate.
Second volume in the «Contos Arrepiantes da História de Portugal» collection, published by Nuvem de Tinta in 2020, with 80 pages in Portuguese and illustrations by Hélio Falcão.
Aimed at young and curious readers, with an engaging tone and striking illustrations.
