«Contes et légendes de l'île de Corse» is the collection of tales and legends by Gabriel-Xavier Culioli, published by DCL in paperback (297 p., in French).
The book brings together a dozen tales and legends from Corsica that Gabriel-Xavier Culioli rescued from the oral tradition of the elders of his village. In these pages, ghosts, wind spirits and heroes of other times coexist with the living on an island where the marvellous and the fantastic merge with history and landscape.
The French edition was published in 1999 and is illustrated. Gabriel-Xavier Culioli was twice winner of the Prix du Livre corse.
For readers of French literature interested in tales, legends and Corsican folklore.
