«Contacto» is the science fiction novel by Carl Sagan, published by Plaza & Janés in paperback (448 pages, in Spanish).
In the novel, the Argus project, a complex of radio telescopes, searches the universe for a signal that reveals the existence of extraterrestrial intelligence. One day the message arrives: something or someone is calling. From that moment on, the discovery tests the scientific community and governments, and raises questions about humanity's place in the cosmos.
This is Raquel Albornoz's translation of the original novel Contact, published in the Jet collection by Plaza & Janés.
