«Comprendre la géopolitique» is Frédéric Encel's essay on geopolitics, published by Points in paperback (256 pages, in French).
A popularising work that introduces geopolitics from its precursors to the present day. Frédéric Encel addresses thematically the discipline's major questions: borders, sovereignty, power, relations of force, propaganda and public opinion, with a didactic approach designed to understand the state of the contemporary world.
The work originally appeared in 2009 under the title «Horizons géopolitiques» (Seuil); this version was published in 2011 in the Points Essais collection.
Recommended for students of political science and journalism, as well as for readers interested in understanding contemporary global dynamics.
