«Ciudadano Sade» is Gonzalo Suárez's biographical novel about the Marquis de Sade, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardback (397 pages, in Spanish).
A biographical novel that recreates the life and thought of the Marquis de Sade, an eighteenth-century figure who ended up giving his name to a human drive: sadism. Suárez explores his psychology and the images that marked his work, presenting a character between genius and criminal whose scandalous and excessive behaviour acts as a mirror of his era.
Novel framed in the Areté collection of Círculo de Lectores, based in Barcelona.
For readers of biographical fiction and twentieth-century Spanish narrative, also interested in transgressive historical figures.
Gonzalo Suárez Morilla is a Spanish writer, screenwriter and film director.
