«Circoxidado: El gran espectáculo de Crispín Capote & Flamarión» is the illustrated album by Álvaro Alejandro and Sergio Mora, published by Kalandraka in hardback (44 pages, in Spanish).
A dwarf named Crispín Capote presents a circus run by the verses of the fire-eater Flamarión. Across the ring parade the human cannonball who travels beyond the stars, the tightrope walker who treads the thin wire of past, present and future, the juggler of letters and the labyrinthine contortionist. The work combines poetic texts and surreal images to explore the most absurd side of reality.
The title belongs to Kalandraka's «libros para soñar» collection. It was published in 2012 and is recommended for readers aged 5 to 6.
Aimed at boys and girls, it is a book for those who enjoy illustrated albums, visual poetry and surreal humour, ideal for reading aloud and sharing.
