«Cinéphilou» is the comic by Helkarava, published by Capricci Editions in paperback (80 pages, in French).
The protagonist is a solitary film buff who spends his days in the lobby of the Cinémagik, a neighbourhood cinema frequented by screen lovers. He devours films and uses his classic references to relate to the outside world, with absurd results. The work is a tribute to cinema and to imagination as an escape from loneliness.
Recommended for readers of European comics and film buffs who enjoy tributes to classic films in panels.
