«Chocolata» is the children's picture book by Marisa Núñez with illustrations by Helga Bansch, published by OQO Editora in hardback (36 pages, in Galician).
The protagonist is a female hippo who lives happily in the jungle and bathes daily in her lagoon. Hearing that there is a bathhouse in the city, she decides to travel to try it; to feel less wild, she buys a tracksuit and a pair of trainers with lights. Her urban adventure is a tale about hopes, desires, friendship and the value of what we have close by.
The book belongs to the O collection from OQO Editora and was awarded the 2007 International Children's Literature Prize by the Espace Enfants Foundation. The illustrations are by Helga Bansch.
Recommended for children aged 3 to 7, especially for those beginning to enjoy picture books.
