«Celebrem la Festa Major!» is the children's verse book by Carmina Del Rio Galve, published by Salvatella in paperback (24 pages, in Catalan).
The protagonist explains in verse what he will do during his town's main festival: he will go to the square to see the castellers, enjoy a fideuada with botifarra, watch the gegants and capgrossos parade, listen to the havaneres and end the day watching the fireworks, perhaps daring to dance a sardana. Written in joined-up script and capitals, its musicality makes reading easier for the youngest.
Volume 15 of the collection «Avui es un dia especial». First edition published on 22 May 2013.
For early readers starting to read in Catalan who want to get closer to the traditions of popular festivals.
