«Carrington» is the biography of painter Dora Carrington by Michael Holroyd, published by Flammarion in paperback (482 pages, in French).
Michael Holroyd portrays Dora Carrington from a close perspective, following her life through her affections and artistic work. The book reconstructs the personal relationships that marked her career and shows the creative environment in which she moved, as well as the tensions between her vocation and her emotional ties.
The French edition was published in 1995 and is linked to the film of the same name that year starring Emma Thompson and Jonathan Pryce.
Recommended for readers of biographies and for those who want to approach the figure of Dora Carrington and the artistic environment of her time.
