«Carole à l'épreuve» is the young adult novel by Bonnie Bryant published by Bayard Jeunesse in paperback (140 pages, in French).
At Pine Hollow Stables, Max proposes a challenge: each experienced rider must train a beginner for a competition. Carole must judge the pairs and choose the winner, but Veronica accuses her of favouritism and Steph and Lisa see her as too distant. The harmony of the centre suffers.
It belongs to the Grand Galop series (no. 79); its original title is «Show Judge» (The Saddle Club, no. 95). French edition published in 2005.
For young readers passionate about horses and riding stories.
