«Cantar de Mio Cid» is the adaptation of the anonymous epic poem by Rosa Navarro Durán, published by edebé in paperback (208 pages, in Spanish).
Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, the Cid, is banished by King Alfonso VI and, far from giving up, becomes the protagonist of an epic tale of deeds and service to the court. This adaptation preserves the plot of the medieval poem but modernizes its language to make it accessible to students.
