«Calle Menor» is the campus novel and costumbrist tragicomedy by Carlos Villar Flor, published by Sial Ediciones in paperback (368 pages, in Spanish).
Oria, a shy Latin teacher, arrives at the University of Lontana and becomes the target of a cruel bet devised by a group of students. Around her appear Aurelio Ducrox, Nicolás «Colo» Teredo and Gibaja, in a blend of humour and sharpness that portrays love, loneliness, failure and literary pretensions.
Published in 2004, it was a finalist for the 1st Tristana Novel Prize; it is the first edition and belongs to the Sial Narrativa collection (no. 14).
