«Cabeza de turco» is the investigative journalism report by Günter Wallraff, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardback (240 pages, in Spanish).
For two years, Günter Wallraff posed as Alí, a Turkish immigrant, to denounce discrimination and labour exploitation in 1980s Germany. His precarious jobs —construction worker, cleaner or guinea pig in pharmaceutical trials— reveal the abuses of the underground economy and everyday racism.
Originally published in German as «Ganz unten», this edition includes an introduction by Rosa Montero, a final reflection by Juan Goytisolo and black-and-white photographs.
For readers interested in social denunciation and testimonies about immigration in Europe.
Günter Wallraff is a German writer and undercover journalist.
