In his first novel, Antonio Lleras presents a story of second chances and reconstruction after a past of violence. Mateo returns to Madrid after being fired in Barcelona, seeking to reconnect with his father. As he gets closer to him, he becomes involved in a historical moment in the neighborhood: an ETA attack that occurred twenty years ago. In parallel, we meet Malen, who infiltrated the neighborhood to collaborate in the crime. Mateo's investigation will unearth secrets that could change his life and the lives of his loved ones forever. Based on a real attack in Madrid, this novel explores how victims and executioners try to rebuild their lives after the end of ETA.
