«Boquitas pintadas» is the novel by Manuel Puig published by Bibliotex in hardback (189 pages, in Spanish).
In a town in the province of Buenos Aires in the 1930s, Juan Carlos Etchepare, a ladies' man ill with tuberculosis, is involved with Mabel, Nené and Elsa. Through letters, clippings and monologues, Puig composes a sentimental chronicle of passions, pettiness and social repressions, parodying the serial and the radio play.
