«Boltar, el rei del mar» is Xavier Guillamón's historical novel for young readers, published by La Galera in hardback (144 pages, in Catalan).
In the ninth-century Orkney Islands, two unknown ships arrive at a coastal village fleeing a storm. Hospitality turns into a devastating attack: the village is razed and young Angus is taken prisoner. An unforeseen bond forms between Angus and the attackers' leader, as Europe enters the Viking age.
It was first published in 1999, in the El Corsari collection (no. 32), and is Xavier Guillamón's first work for young readers.
For young readers interested in history and adventures set in the Viking world.
