«Blondinenträume» is the novel by Milena Moser, published by Rowohlt Taschenbuch in paperback (287 pages, in German).
The action takes place in a somewhat run-down housing estate where Natalie, Elma, Frau Meierhans and Lotti live together—single women coping with their daily lives. The arrival of a single man with two children turns this disparate community upside down. With bittersweet humour, Milena Moser addresses loneliness, friendship and the surprises of everyday life.
The work was originally published in 1996; this edition is from 2010. The author is of Swiss nationality.
For readers of contemporary fiction looking for ensemble stories and female protagonists.
