In a future where sharing everything is the norm and privacy is a perversion, Trafford challenges the system with small acts of disobedience. The novel portrays a dystopia where religious intolerance and the culture of personal exhibition make independent thought a crime and ignorance a virtue.
A novel of black humour and satire, published in 2008. Ben Elton, the novel's author, was a co-writer of the television programmes The Young Ones and Blackadder.
It is suitable reading for fans of social satire and dystopias, with an acerbic and provocative tone.
