«Blanche hait la nuit» is the children's picture book by Sibylle Delacroix, published by Bayard Jeunesse in paperback (32 pages, in French).
Blanche hates the night and the moment of going into a dark room. To avoid falling asleep, she fills the bedroom with music: she sings lullabies to her stuffed animals, gives a concert to scare away the moon, and jumps on the bed as if on a trampoline. Her parents lose patience; in the end, the bed becomes a sleigh that carries her to the land of dreams.
Sibylle Delacroix is an author and illustrator. Published in 2014, the book is recommended for ages 3 to 5.
A story designed to be read aloud before bedtime and to talk about the fear of darkness with young children.
