«Berta» is a children's story by Magdalena Labarga Ávalos, published by Oxford University Press España in hardback (64 pages, in Spanish).
Berta is an only child and is bored in her room: her mother works outside the home and her father, although he doesn't go out to work, is always too busy to pay attention to her. To entertain herself, Berta lets her imagination run wild and organises an adventure so fun that it will manage to get her father's attention and almost make him angry.
It belongs to the El Árbol de la Lectura collection, is recommended for readers aged 6 and up, features illustrations by Ximena Maier and was published in 2010.
Aimed at children aged 6 to 8 and early primary school readers; also serves as school support reading in Spanish.
