«Beñat eta behia lau hankatan sabaian» is the children's picture book by René Gouichox and Nicole Claveloux (Alberdania, hardback, 28 pages, Basque).
Beñat is drawing when he looks up and discovers a cow on the ceiling, standing on all four legs. Worried, he warns her she might fall, but the cow replies with a question that takes the conversation in an unexpected turn. A story that plays with the absurd and celebrates imagination and friendship.
The book belongs to the Albumak koloretan collection. The first edition was published on 1 September 2004, translated from French into Basque by Alberdania, S.L.
It is suitable for early readers and for those who want to read a picture book in Basque, even as support for learning the language.
