«Baobonbon» is the children's story by Satomi Ichikawa, published by L'Ecole des loisirs in paperback (35 pages, in French).
Paa, a boy from the jungle, goes to the market to sell bananas on his mother's errand. At noon, a baobab asks him for water and Paa mobilizes other children to water it. Meanwhile, monkeys devour the bananas; the grateful tree lets its fruits fall and entrusts him with a secret recipe. A tale of African inspiration with watercolours.
Published on 15 November 2002, it is part of the Les Lutins collection from L'Ecole des loisirs. The work includes a dedication to Juma, Bialot, Mina and Nishikio.
Recommended for children aged 4 and up, with a child protagonist and a message about listening and generosity.
