«Avui dormo a casa del meu amic» is the children's picture book by Juliet Pomés Leiz, published by Tusquets Editores in paperback (36 pages, in Catalan).
Simón stays overnight for the first time at the home of Oliver, his best friend. He is delighted at the idea of playing with the cats Bart and Lisa, watching the colourful fish and sharing a room with Oliver and with Daniel, his older brother. But when night comes, the house feels strange to him: the arguments between brothers, the father's humour and a different dinner make him miss his parents. Then something unexpected happens.
Sixth volume in the «Infantil Catalán - Simón» collection; recommended reading from age 5. Published in 2007.
For early readers and for sharing with the family the emotions of the first night away from home.
