«Avis» is the picture book by Chema Heras, illustrated by Rosa Osuna, published by Kalandraka in hardback (40 pages, in Catalan).
Ramona and Ramón are an elderly couple who accept the passing of time naturally: she shows off like a girl and he only wants to dance with her. When she feels ugly, he tells her she is beautiful as the sun. With cumulative structure and poetic text, the work speaks of the beauty seen through the eyes of love and of affection that endures in ageing.
It belongs to the «Llibres per a somniar» collection by Kalandraka and was awarded the Llibreter Prize 2007. Format 22×22 cm and 310 g.
Aimed at children and young readers, and at adults who want to share a tender story about old age and love with their family.
