In this Astérix album, our Gallic heroes, Astérix and Obélix, embark on an adventure in Rome. To rescue the bard Cacofonix, who has been captured and is destined to be a gift for Julius Caesar, Astérix and Obélix become gladiators. With their superhuman strength thanks to the magic potion, they face the challenges of the Roman Colosseum, seeking to free their friend before he is thrown to the lions. Will they manage to rescue Cacofonix in time?
