«Ascensión» is the contemporary fiction novel by Tom Perrotta, published by Colmena Ediciones in paperback (416 pages, in Spanish).
In Mapleton, on the day two per cent of the world's population disappears without explanation, a family tries to move on. Tom Perrotta shows how the town cracks apart: painful absences, faith in crisis, groups turning hope into fanaticism, and ordinary people struggling to believe in an uncertain future.
First title in the Ficción collection from Colmena Ediciones, an imprint of Editorial Hidra. The original English novel is The Leftovers; this ISBN corresponds to the cover with a woman's shoe.
For readers of contemporary fiction interested in how ordinary people react to inexplicable events and in stories about faith and family.

Thomas R. Perrotta is an American novelist and screenwriter best known for his novels Election (1998) and Little Children (2004), both of which were made into Academy Award-nominated films. He is also known for his novel The Leftovers (2011), which was adapted into the critically acclaimed TV series on HBO, co-created by Perrotta and Damon Lindelof.
