«Arrivederci amore, ciao» is the crime novel by Massimo Carlotto, published by Edizioni e/o in paperback (183 pages, in Italian).
The novel follows an antihero who, after militating in the Italian armed struggle of the seventies, collaborates with the guerrilla in South America and betrays his comrades to obtain a reduced sentence. Out of prison, he makes his way in Northern Italy through fraud, blackmail and self-interested relationships, until becoming a respectable bourgeois.
First instalment of the Giorgio Pellegrini series. 2006 edition within I Super e/o; the cover indicates that the novel gave rise to the film by Michele Soavi with Alessio Boni and Michele Placido.
