Ariel

Synopsis of Ariel

This edition of 'Ariel' restores the original version of Sylvia Plath's poetry collection, respecting the selection and order established by the author herself before her death. Unlike the 1965 publication, this edition offers an authentic and complete view of her creative process, including manuscript facsimiles, drafts of key poems, and notes written by Plath for the BBC. Featuring an insightful prologue by Frieda Hughes, this book allows readers to re-evaluate the legacy and extraordinary poetic vision of one of the most significant voices in contemporary literature.
