«Antes, cuando NO había colegio» is a children's picture book by Vincent Malone, published by Editorial Luis Vives (Edelvives) in hardback (40 pages, in Spanish).
The book starts from a simple idea: before, when there was no school, things were not as they are now. With humour and absurd scenes, it covers how people learned from prehistory to the present day: nobody knew what a flute was for, litres of milk were added by hand, and finishing primary school was not a concern. The illustrations reinforce the comic nature of the story and offer a fun look at the evolution of school and everyday life.
The original title is «Avant quand y avait pas l'ecole». The edition includes illustrations by André Bouchard and a translation by Elena Gallo Krahe. It belongs to the Edelvives picture book collection.
Recommended for children aged 5 to 6, ideal for reading aloud at home or in the classroom.
