«Ànima de bolero» is the novel by Isidor Cònsul, published by Editorial Empúries in 2009, with 143 pages, in Catalan.
A chronicle set in Ponent against the backdrop of the civil war, where Cònsul reconstructs a world in decline through stories that share characters and emotions. Honesty, betrayal —seen from both the betrayer and the betrayed— and love run through the work, written in prose close to colloquial speech and marked by nostalgia.
This is the first edition, number 359 in the Empúries Narrativa collection.
For readers of Catalan fiction interested in historical memory and a nostalgic look at a lost world.
