«American Girls About Town» is an anthology of short stories by several authors —Trigiani, Weiner, Manby and Weisberger—, published by Pocket Books in paperback.
The anthology brings together short works of contemporary fiction with female protagonists: a traveller whose adventure in Vietnam goes off course, a single mother who sets herself a personal challenge on turning forty, and a woman seeking a cure for her fear of commitment, among other stories.
The anthology includes stories by 17 authors, is written in English, and donated one pound sterling from each copy sold to the charities Barnardo's and Make-A-Wish.
For readers of chick lit and women's fiction, and for those looking for a sample of several contemporary fiction authors.
Adriana Trigiani is an American best-selling author of eighteen books, playwright, television writer/producer, film director/screenwriter/producer, and entrepreneur based in New York City. Trigiani has published a novel a year since 2000.
