«Alles wat er was» is the novel by Hanna Bervoets, published in 2013 by Atlas Contact in paperback (283 pages, in Dutch).
Eight people go to a school on a Sunday to record a science programme, but an explosion leaves them trapped: the authorities order doors, windows and curtains to be closed. Through the editor Merel, the novel shows how the group survives on minimal rations and how tensions grow as supplies run out.
Recommended for readers of literary fiction interested in moral dilemmas about love, loyalty and friendship in extreme situations.
