«Algun dia aquest dolor et servirà» is the novel by Peter Cameron, published by Sembra Llibres in paperback (224 pages, in Catalan).
James Sveck is eighteen years old and doesn't fit in: he rejects the conventions of his environment, including university, and dreams of fleeing to the Midwest. While spending the summer at his mother's art gallery in Manhattan, he imagines a new identity to escape his life. With an ironic and sarcastic voice, he narrates his attempt to break the isolation between a dysfunctional family and a shrewd psychologist.
