This book of short and surprising stories, first published in 1977, was the debut work of Miquel Obiols. Throughout his career, the author has remained faithful to a style characterized by transgressive, rebellious, and provocative texts that challenge paternalistic trends, conventional morality, and traditional didactics in children's literature. The work stands out for its wit, using linguistic exercises, calligrams, and wordplay that place fantasy and imagination as fundamental creative axes.
Inspired by figures such as Lewis Carroll and Gianni Rodari, as well as the techniques of the OuLiPo group, Obiols constructs eight stories that explore the absurd and surrealism with simple yet deeply crafted language. It is an innovative and timeless work that invites readers to experiment with writing and enjoy the creative freedom of language.
