«Acción Suave» is the essay by F. David Peat, published by Editorial Kairós in paperback (288 pages, in Spanish).
Unlike conventional interventions, which are often ineffective or disruptive, it proposes a «gentle action»: local and reflective strategies that respect the balance of organisations, cities or groups. With examples such as microcredits, livestock donations or community gardens, it invites a «creative suspension» before acting.
Work originally published in 2008 as «Gentle Action: Bringing Creative Change to a Turbulent World»; Spanish edition of 2011. Subtitle: «Alternativas innovadoras para un mundo en crisis».
For readers interested in social change, community development and alternative approaches to institutional intervention.
Francis David Peat was a British holistic physicist and author who has carried out research in solid state physics and the foundation of quantum theory.
