A música dos seres vivos

Synopsis of A música dos seres vivos

«A música dos seres vivos» is the novel by María Reimóndez, published by Edicións Xerais in paperback (360 pages, in Galician).

MK, a successful singer and partner of the eccentric Gaia, reconnects with herself in the silences between concerts: she recalls her childhood in rural Tamil Nadu and the forced migration to a metropolis that broke and rebuilt her. Amid broken waves, she composes her story towards where the raven's caw becomes the music of living beings.

First instalment of María Reimóndez's «Ciclo dos elementos»; MK, the protagonist here, was a secondary character in «En vías de extinción». The cycle continues with «Dende o conflito».

For readers of contemporary Galician fiction interested in intimate stories about identity, migration and emotional relationships.
