«A Armadilha das Aves do Terror» is the children's science fiction novel by Steve Cole (Livraria Civilização Editora, paperback, 144 pages, Portuguese).
Captain Teggs Stegosaur and the crew of the spaceship DSS Sauropod arrive on a planet where two dinosaur tribes are about to clash. Giant birds offer to help, but Teggs is suspicious: perhaps those terrifying creatures are allies or enemies. The book combines science fiction, dinosaurs and action.
It belongs to the Astrosaurs series, of which it is the eighth instalment; its original English title, Astrosaurs 8: The Terror-bird Trap, was published in 2006 and this Portuguese edition in 2009.
For young readers who enjoy science fiction, dinosaurs and space adventures.
