«22 segundos» is the novel by Eva Mejuto, published by Lóguez (140 pages, in Spanish).
A young transsexual man recalls in the first person scenes from his childhood and adolescence marked by the knowledge that his gender identity does not match the sex assigned at birth. With empathy, he demands visibility for a silenced and denigrated group so that it will no longer be treated as sick by laws and society.
Originally published in 2017, this Spanish edition appeared in 2019.
For readers interested in gender identity and in narrative that champions diversity with empathy.
