«Venezia: Antologia di Musica Veneziana» is a various-artists compilation released in 2003 by Dejavu Retro Gold Collection, on double CD.
The anthology combines two sides of Venetian music: the classical repertoire with works such as Vivaldi's Le Quattro Stagioni and the adagios by Albinoni and Marcello, performed by the London Symphony Orchestra; and the popular side, with gondolier songs, accordions and mandolins, featuring the voices of Beniamino Gigli and Luciano Tajoli. A selection that evokes the canals of Venice.
Two-CD edition released on 7 April 2003 by Dejavu Retro Gold Collection and Recording Arts SA, catalogue number R2CD 44-04.
Aimed at fans of classical music and Italian musical tradition.
