«Son de la Frontera» is the self-titled debut album by the flamenco group Son de la Frontera, released in 2008 by Nuevos Medios S.A. on CD.
The album starts from traditional flamenco and crosses it with jazz and other styles, with passages where guitar and singing coexist with improvised textures. Notable tracks include «Bulería negra del Gastor» and «Como el agua entre las piedras», which exemplify that blend.
Limited edition on CD with book, published in Spain within the «Joyas del Flamenco» collection by El País.
