«Bernarda Alba» is the CD recording of the world premiere of Michael John LaChiusa's musical, released in 2006 by Ghostlight Records.
The CD brings together the recording of the world premiere of the musical: a tragedy with well-written songs, standout orchestrations and choral performances. The piece maintains a sombre atmosphere and the whole sustains the intensity from start to finish.
The album has a single disc, a running time of 50 minutes and is sung in English. It falls within the Stage & Screen genre, with musical and soundtrack styles.
For musical theatre fans who could not see the live production and for those who want to enjoy a recording of the original cast.
