«Maroûf / Églogue / Divertissement sur des chansons russes / La Procession nocturne» is the album by Henri Rabaud, released in 1991 by EMI Classics, on CD.
This CD brings together four orchestral works by Henri Rabaud, including the dances from the opera Maroûf, the Virgilian poem Églogue and the symphonic poem La Procession nocturne. The Orchestre Philharmonique des Pays de Loire, conducted by Pierre Dervaux, offers a programme representative of the orchestral refinement of French Romanticism.
The recording was made in Angers in 1978 and digitally remastered in 1991. It is part of the L'Esprit Français collection and its cover reproduces «Crépuscule» (or «La Partie de croquet»), by Bonnard.
For fans of classical music and the French orchestral repertoire of the late Romantic period.
