«Places» is the debut album by Georgie James, released in 2007 on Saddle Creek, on CD.
«Places» is an indie pop record with twelve songs that look to sixties and seventies pop: bright melodies, shared vocal harmonies and arrangements of guitars, piano and Wurlitzer. John Davis and Laura Burhenn sound close to The Kinks, Richard & Linda Thompson, The Jam or Simon & Garfunkel, with glam nods like «Cheap Champagne».
European CD edition with catalogue number SCE110CD, released on 1 October 2007; total running time 40 minutes.
For listeners of melodic indie pop and vocal harmonies in the style of The Kinks, The Jam or Simon & Garfunkel.
