«Las mejores obras del canto gregoriano» is the double vinyl LP compilation by the Choir of Monks of the Benedictine Monastery of Santo Domingo de Silos.
This compilation brings together Gregorian chant pieces performed by the choir of monks of the Benedictine monastery of Santo Domingo de Silos. The recordings, in Latin, belong to the medieval liturgical repertoire and reflect the soundscape of monastic life, with the characteristic sobriety of this tradition.
Spanish edition of 1993 published by EMI Classics and EMI-Odeon, S.A. as a double LP (two vinyl records). The cover reproduces a Gothic stained-glass window with monks in prayer.
Suitable for fans of sacred music, medieval chant and monastic choral recordings.
