«Lambarena: Bach to Africa» is the album by Lambarena, released in 1999 by Sony Music Entertainment on CD.
The album brings together pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach with traditional African music: cantatas, fugues and dances reinterpreted with percussion, choirs and African modes, in an encounter inspired by the musical atmosphere that Albert Schweitzer fostered in Lambaréné. It includes 'Cantate 147' and 'Agnus Dei'.
The CD has 14 tracks, a duration of 49 minutes and production by Pierre Akendenque and Hughes de Courson.
For listeners interested in world music and the reinterpretation of the classical repertoire.
